Meanwhile back in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a girl named Alesia Curtis lay in her bed still sleeping. Her alarm went off, and she sluggishly got out of bed. She walked over to her CD player and turned on her new Hanson CD "Live from Albertane". She then walked over to her closet, and picked out an outfit for the day. She chose LEI Jeans and a blue shirt with a lacey jacket type thing over it. She briskly had a shower, got dressed, did her hair, and put on her makeup. She walked into her room, and heard "Look at You" playing on her CD player. She started to sing along with the lyrics. Once her clock said 7:00, she decided it was time to go downstairs, and wait for her ride. Everyday her best friend, Jackie King picks her up for school. Unlike Alesia, Jackie doesn't like Hanson. However they were such good friends they were basicly sisters. And that didn't bother either one of them, because they are both single children.
"Good morning sweetie!" said Mary, Alesia's mom. She was sitting at the table reading the newspaper and drinking her coffee.
"Morning mom! Are you going to be home today when I get back from school?" replied Alesia. "Cause I have to do a project for cooking class… and I need all the help I can get."
"Um, yeah I should be home, but if I'm not, I'll let you know. Wait…you want ME to help you with your cooking class? You know what my idea of cooking is… ordering out," Mary said looking up from her paper.
"Yeah, I know. That's my kind of cooking too, but I chose to make a cake, so I just think I can handle that… at least I hope I can," said Alesia.
HOOONNNK…… HOOONNNK……
"Well there's my ride. I'm off to school. By mom!"
"Bye! Have a good day!"
Alesia slipped on her shoes, grabbed her backpack, and gave herself one final check in the miror before she faced the day.
"Hey chica,"said Alesia.
"Hey! You ready to go?" said Jackie.
"You bet!
And with that, the two "sisters" left for school.
