Mother Wolf
A wolf pup follows his mother.
She looks over her shoulder
to check on her pup.
They are all alone.
No pack to run with.
Alone to wander the forest and meadows.
Alone to hunt, thought easire
when there is only two to feed.
The Mother is worried.
Rasining a pup alone is hard.
How will she teach her pup,
when she is still learning herself?
She releases a long mournful howl..
But does not wait for an answer.
She knows one will never come.
She is on her own to raise her pup.
She walks over to her pup,
Looks down at him with loving eyes.
and then lays down for the night.
With the cue from his mother he
sunggles close to her.
are heard. Nevrously Mother Wolf
lefts her head and sniffs the wind.
There is a pack near by!
Feeling vulnerable the Mother Wolf
looks around to find a safe place
for her pup.
A hollow tree near by will work.
She quickly gets her pup inside.
Then stands guard.
The pack is close by.
She can hear their steps.
The pack appears and she stands ready.
But no threat comes.
The pack stopps.
She waits.
One fo the wolves in the pack steps forward.
Mother Wolf steps back.
Eye to eye, the female wolf tells Mother Wolf
"It's ok, we wont hurt you."
Another female steps forward.
"Sister, don't be afraid." she says
"Come join us." a male wolf replies.
"We are here to for you." the other male adds.
Mother Wolf hesitate at first.
Then brings her pup out.
And walks towards the pack.
Greeted with love, she has
found a place for her and her pup!
