Easton Woman Crash Victim.
Mrs. Hope L. Hobbs, 38 , of 120 Center St., North Easton , who died at the Goddard Memorial Hospital, Stoughton, at 4:30 this morning.
Mrs. Hobbs suffered multiple injuries, and was pinned in the car she was driving when it collided with another vehicle at the crest of Langwater Hill, Main St., North Easton, near the Parker home.
Police identified the other driver as Mrs. Elizabeth Constantine, 41 , of rear 723 Washington St., Easton. She received multiple bruises and abrasions and was reported "comfortable" this morning at the Goddard Memorial Hospital where she was taken by private ambulance.
Police said both cars were demolished and they blocked traffic until towed away. Easton firefighters answered the emergency call and Mrs. Hobbs was extricated from her car by David Sundell. Investigating the crash were Sgt. Kenneth Hurley and patrolman Ralph Peterson of the Easton police and Registry Insp. Daniel Keeler of Randolph.
Mrs. Hobbs was the wife of Lester M. Hobbs. Born in Raynham, she was the daughter of the late George and Nellie (Hopkins) Harding. She had resided in Easton for nine years. She was employed at the Quality Steel Products Co. in Stoughton. She was a member of the Central Methodist Church, North Easton , and Easter Chapter - N0. 164 - OES , and the Rainbow Mothers Club.
Survivors , in addition to her husband , include a son William ; two daughters Sandra and Natalie , all at home ; a brother Walter Harding of Brockton and four sisters , Mrs. Edith Melville , Mrs. Irene Fulginiti , Mrs. Florence Nordin and Mrs. Ruth Tringali.
The funeral will be from the Copeland Funeral Home , 38 Center St. , North Easton , at 1 P.M. Saturday with Rev. Samuel A. Walker officiating . Interment will be in Knollwod Memorial Park, Canton .
