The Knights of Pythias is the only Fraternal Organization in the United States to be chartered by an act of Congress on February 19, 1864.
The Lodge was instituted in 1881, and Temple was constructed 1906-1908. It was dedicated with 1250 Knights at the 100th Anniversary Grand Convention, October 5, 1985. It is said to be the most beautiful Pythian meeting hall in the world. This Temple is the home to Commencement #7, Tacoma Sisters Temple #58 and El Adre Temple #58, D.O.K.K.
