BUFFY SUMMERS
Buffy Summers is the Hellmouth's very own Chosen One, the Vampire Slayer, and an amazing one at that: she's taken on Masters and monsters and come through it all alive -- for the most part. However, she does seem to have a penchant for getting horizontal (and sometimes vertical!) with vampires. Or more accurately, two vampires: her first love, Angel, and her current beau and shaggadelic love-monkey, Spike.
SPIKE
A Master in his own right, Spike has been a vampire for quite some time. Who actually sired him is anybody's guess, but he was formerly known as "William the Bloody" and earned his current nickname, Spike, by torturing his victims with railroad spikes, which really made him the life of all the vampire parties. Upon his arrival in Sunnydale, Spike quickly became the Slayer's greatest adversary, an even match for her skill and cunning. And we all know where that leads...shagging!
ANGEL
Once the scourge of Europe, Angel was cursed with a soul...and a really lame haircut. He came to Sunnydale to aid the new Slayer -- Buffy -- and quickly fell in love with her. An outcast among vampires and humans alike, Angel spends most of his time brooding and making with the big puppy-dog eyes. A moment of true happiness reverts him back to Angelus, his evil alter-ego... yet another good reason to shag the soul-less instead.
GILES
As Buffy's Watcher, it is Rupert Giles' duty to keep the Slayer in line and keep her informed about the various monsters and horrible baddies in and around Sunnydale. His current job as school librarian/Watcher leaves him plenty of time for cross-referencing, one of his favorite activities. And Buffy's 'relationship' with Spike affords plenty of opportunities for his other favorite pastime: lecturing the Slayer.
WILLOW ROSENBERG
Willow Rosenberg: technogeek, witch, and the Velma of the Scooby gang. Willow is Buffy's best friend and confidante, and she's always willing to lend an ear, even if Buffy does want to talk about her shagging of the undead. Willow herself has had a heartbreaking crush on her longtime best friend, Xander, and has dated Oz, the werewolf.
XANDER HARRIS
As if having the middle name "LaVelle" just wasn't geeky enough, Xander Harris compounds the problem by dancing like a boneless chicken on speed. He makes up for it all, though, in an unflagging devotion to slayage (even when he's a dork about it) and to his friends (again, even when he's a dork about it). He doesn't like the vamps much, especially Angel, who he aptly named "Dead Boy", and he tends to have a very black and white view of things.
CORDELIA CHASE
Cordelia Chase is definitely the Daphne of the Scooby gang; as the obligatory stuck-up-rich-chick, she tends to surprise everyone with her cutting wit. But perhaps "cutting" is too weak a word for the amazing barbs that Cordy can whip out. She tends to run with the mindless-valley-girl crowd, but was drawn with some reluctance into Buffy's world of fighting evil, and actually makes good use of her self sometimes, even if she breaks a nail.
OZ
If he weren't already a werewolf, it would be easy to suspect Oz of being a very supernatural creature: it had been thought impossible that anyone could be that cool. He's the guitarist for "Dingoes Ate My Baby", and his hair color changes with amazing frequency. With girlfriend Willow, he's the ideal mate: he's in a band and he's super-sweet. In working with the Slayer and her Slayerettes he is self-sacrificing and brave. Pod people, anyone?!
DRUSILLA
Drusilla is one of Angel's children; he killed her entire family and drove her stark raving mad before turning her into a vampire on the day she took the vows to become a nun. As the love of Spike's unlife for more than a century, Drusilla was a wonderfully wicked creature, until she was attacked by a mob in Prague and became weak.
