My Mental Health Care Nightmare

WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE CHANGED

• Managed Care should listen more to what the actual treating doctors are recommending for treatment, rather than relying on some man who looks at paperwork to make those decisions.
• In certain cases, a hospital environment may not be the best course of treatment, and they need to take a closer look at alternative programs that would HELP the individual.
• Take away maximum benefits per year, and base it upon whether the patient is actully READY to go back into society.
• Tricare should LIGHTEN UP on it's policies so that more doctors are willing to accept this insurance. The lack of quality care we recieve is in corelation to the amount of paperwork a doctor wants to put into it. Obviously, if a doc is busy and sought after, he is not going to mess around with all that red tape. This is why I feel they give us QUACKS. They will do ANYTHING to get patients.
