God saw her getting tired,
When a cure was not to be,
So He closed His arms around her,
And whispered, "Come to me"
She didn't deserve what she went through
So He gave her rest
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best
And when we saw her sleeping
So peaceful and free from pain,
We could not wish her back,
To suffer that again.

It was a sad day when Sandy was diagnosed with Leukemia.
For years She waited for a Bone Marrow Transplant
The Family was holding spaghetti dinners,
and everything they could think of to help
after the insurance dropped her.
Everyone was pitching in what they could,
and not just family members.
Complete strangers and some Anonymous
donors were even helping.
Sandy loved the Ocean, so I took it upon
myself to solicit the businesses here
to bring her and the girls down for the weekend.
She didn't have to do a thing, got all meals,
Lodging, and even flowers and candy.
But I think the highlight was when
the local newspaper came to interview her.
She really had a great time, and I am so
proud to have done something like that for her,
knowing that was the only thing I could do..
She was always in so much pain,
the family would take turns massaging every
aching muscle to the point of almost bruising.
But it was the only relief she got.
This went on for years and all hope was gone, then,
A DONOR WAS FOUND!!!
After weeks of hard radiation to kill off all her marrow,
she was going in to recieve an anonymous donors'
marrow, the only match found.
She had the surgery, in December and,
was doing quite well, they put her in her own
apt., and she got back together with her girls.
Her Pride and Joy!!
Sandy did get to see New Years, and Valentine's Day,
but on the 7th of March, she was gone..having contracted a
virus that attacked her system fast.
Sandy was gone before her 30th birthday.
She will remain in our hearts, forever, even tho she's gone.
Just by looking at those two Beautiful girls
they are so much like their Mom.
