Selzer was a small, sexist worm of a man with limited power in the NYPD. He was always quick to scrutinize Sara's unconventional police methodology, whether warranted or not. His true motives were made clear when he was revealed to be in the employ of Kenneth Irons.
Selzer was killed as a demonstration of power during a struggle between Pez, Irons and the Witchblade.
