The UFO and the Cross

The UFO Resource Center received this UFO photograph early in the morning of August 10, 1999. The mail that we'd received included some camera particulars, as well as other pertinent information that we will post here.

Subject: UFO sighting?
Please find attached a picture that I took on Friday, August 6, 1999 at approximately 1:45pm. I was taking a picture of "The Cross" across the valley at Jumonville, PA. I took two pictures from the inside of my vehicle which I pulled off to the side of the road. I was taking the pictures for my sister-in-law who lives in Uniontown, PA. I took both pictures and left the area enroute to my sister-in-law's house to put the pictures on her computer as wallpaper.
The pictures were taken on (old) US route 119 near Fairchance, PA. I never saw the object that appeared in the photo, and the camera I was using was a Sony Mavica digital that I had borrowed. When I got to my destination and loaded the pictures, It was then that I noticed the strange object. I never heard or saw anything while taking the pictures.
I am attaching the picture that has object in it.
I am a former Police Officer who resigned from the force due to a back injury. I am now a Systems Administrator *snip* in Beaver Falls, PA. Please look at this picture and let me know what you think.

As you can see in Brente's letter, the unknown object was
not visible to the naked eye when he shot this photograph. It was after its developement, however.
This strongly suggests an intelligence that may have deliberately found its way into this photograph for the association to the cross.
They have been sending a strong and clear message to our research center that they are intimately tied into
the religious phenomenon...but we cannot prove that this is so, despite our testimonials that
would indicate that it is. We have been receiving E-mails in this manner, as if the UFO occupants
were trying to verify The UFO Resource Center's research into the UFO/religion paradigm. More testimonials are forthcoming.
Miracles, signs and wonders. Although I know that this theory may be bordering on insanity, we still consider ourselves fortunate to be amongst those selected to herald their arrival here.
This was our initial response to Brente's E-mail:
"We successfully received your message in the early morning hours of tuesday. I have examined your photograph of the "cross" and will continue to examine it further with my photo analyst/expert. He is better at giving specifics on the operational aspects of the camera. I hesitate to give you any conclusions at this time, as we need additional details about the camera...anything you can tell us...camera type, film speed, make, film, focal length...anything that you can remember. It is better to submit this data now, while it is still fresh in your mind. We would find this information quite useful in further analysis. From what I can gather, the graininess of the object, along with the saucer-like shape would, for all intents and purposes, appear to suggest a genuine UF object. It will remain an "Unidentified Flying Object, or UFO, until such time as we can prove that it is NOT a UFO. We can not reach any final determination without the aforementioned details that we need for continued analysis. We need all of the data that you can give us. We can reach a more conclusive determination if we could at least have a copy of the negative. This will lend credibility to the UFO hypothesis.
PLEASE, DO NOT GIVE OUT THE ORIGINAL TO ANYONE unless you don't care if you never see it again. Copies are sufficient for out intent and purpose. An original negative would be the best evidence, but if I were you, I would only allow someone to examine it in a public place with a witness. It is best to send it return receipt requested. The address is on the UFO form that we need you to fill out..
This is very important. UFO literature is ripe with stories about people losing precious film because they turned it over to someone that they had thought was legitimate, and were not. I have done extensive research into UFO photographs. If you want to determine its authenticity, you came to the right place. Please consider my request for the additional information. *snip* Oh, by the way...We'll keep you posted on our analysis.(See notes)
