*Snip* now here's a little gem for all you seekers after truth - story taken from the Sydney Morning Herald (19 March 1999).

A woman, mysteriously identified as MRS M *snip* has alerted the Australian nation to the news that an Alien craft has indeed crash landed in Western Australian near the town of Kalgoolie. The craft apparently ditched in the desert about a month ago and some occupants have already died of heat exhaustion and lack of water. The local police have been alerted and concern has been raised about locals in the area throwing rocks at dear old ET. One Ross Dowe of the UFO Reports Hotline claims to know the location of the craft, sundry wally's from around the world are expected to invade said desert while concerned citizens are requesting that people stop throwing stones at the poor little buggers.

Make of this what you will and perhaps it is old news (although I have not seen anything about it in the NG's. This is because the CIA, Illuminati, Freemasons and the the Tooth Fairy are probably censoring my mail and obliterating my messages.

So it does appear that indeed the Truth is really out there, it just has very poor piloting ability and a damned poor sense of direction. (and if they do in fact find something and this makes me look like the complete moron then , hey what the *snip* to I care. A bit of looking dumb when presented with ET himself will be worth the embarassment. hee hee)

By the by if anyone actually has some sensible ideas about this one I for one would love to hear em.

all the best, townes.

UFORC contacted Townes and asked him for additional information. I received this reply from him on June 24, 1999. A special thanks to Townes for his update from Australia, the land down under.

Hi There,Have heard absolutely zip, nada, nothing about that for a few months now. It was a very strange report indeed. came out of a little town near Perth W.A. With all sorts of strange goings on from mysterious sightings of unearthly critters and even reports of townsfolk stoning the ufo itself. The case featured in one of the Sydney newspapers for a couple of days but after that nothing. The paper did mention that the first reports of the case came from the "Sightings" web site but when I checked the site this morning there appeared to be no updates and their achive section was down. Personally I think it was all someone's idea of a joke. Sorry I can't be of more assistance, but if I do hear anything more about it I will e-mail you. http://www.sightings.com/index.htm
All the best, townes

COMMENTS FROM THE DIRECTOR OF UFORC:
Being a journalist and a UFO researcher, I know that the newspaper would have issued a rebuttal of the event if they could verify that it was untrue. This kind of silence can only originate from a covert operation to retrieve the UFO and its occupants. The truth is out there and it will eventually come forth. Stay informed...UFORC News...around the clock, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
