What I Seem to Me

The themes all underline my life.
Someone else dignifies my courage,
Someone else lifts up a light far too bright
For me to see myself onstage.
But I rely on the repeating themes.
I means that I am more than what I seem - to be,
What I seem to me.
Inside counts for so much indoors,
Outside counts, sometimes, for more.
Themes abound about and around.
Nothing stays the same.
Well, I'll stay myself and stick around,
And I'll keep my own name.
The themes all underline the events.
Someone else will now realize the pretend
And attempt to dissolve and resolve the pretense.
But I rely on the repeating themes.
It means I have more than what I seem - to be,
What I seem to me.
