It's hard to believe how big the Backstreet Boys have become in less than a year!Yes, it was not a year ago that STARZ! started, and started with Hanson being the focal point of the cover. Back then, there was no STARZ! Posters magazine, and hardly anybody in the U.S. had heard of the Backstreet Boys. Now look, fifteen issues later, the Backstreet Boys have takenover the cover and, hey, Hanson's not even in this issue!
We had faith in them, and so did you guys. We knew that with the guys' tslents, good looks and great personalities, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson and Nick Carter were sure to make it big! Yes, they had already proven themselves by gaining masses of fans everywhere in the world but there native country. There only concern was to be accepted by the public of the States. Not only were they accepted, but they were loved, and now the Backstreet Boys have a big following from the U.S. as any other country.
Only few groups have managed to attain this level of stardom, and we don't mean just a few of today's groups; we mean throughout history of music! So what does it take to make it this big? Well, first of all, and perhaps most importantly, the Backstreet Boys have great songs because they have top producers and writers behind tehm, such as Bowlegged Lou of Full Force fame.
Their albums are very diverse, having traks rangeing from slow, romantic ballads to up-beat, funky dance music. The combination of Brian and Nick's sweet croons, Kevin's bass voice, Howie's falsettos and AJ's raps is unbeatable! Secondly, the guys are all very close and have a strong friendship with each other. This is very important because being on the road for months at a time can bring out the worst in people when they get tired and homesock. So, if there is any friction between members, the others are always there to work it out. Thirdly, the guys all know how to performand please their audience. Prior to being in the backstreet Boys, each of them had experience indancing and acting, so the boys' stage show is tops! Their official photographer (who takes all the awesome shots you see in STARZ!) even said, "lucklly their show is great, or else I would have been tired of shooting them long ago!" Remember, he travels with them and sees then 24/7, almost like the six member!
But the single most important key to the BSBs' success is the support of media and the fans! Without the mags, radio, and television stations who have shown the Backstreet Boys to the world, the fans would not have known about them. Ans the fans are people who make it happen. When the fans turn their backs on a group, that's when it's all over. As long as the fans continue to listen to BSB's music, attend their concerts, and read the magazines, the Backstreet Boys will greatly indebted to them. But don't worry, the Boys will find some way of showing their thanks!
