COALITION STATES CYBERNETICALLY AUGMENTED TROOPER OPERATIONS
THIS IS A RESTRICTED DATABASE
All I can say, is you better have access to this area, meatboy.  This file concerns the new CS cyborg protocols, the way cyborgs will be used in the upcoming campaign, and how this will effect the Order of Battle.

PARTIAL CONVERSION BORGS
Partial conversion borgs are between 01%-58% cybernetic.  By Coalition States Uniform Code of Military Justice, no full conversion cyborg may be a field grade commanding officer on active command duty.  Patial conversion cyborgs allow the CS military to retain officers and enlisted who would otherwise be relegated to non-combat roles, slow death of missing organs, or life as a cripple.  Volunteers are accepted to the CS Cyborg Corps after a rigorous psychological test series.
With the war coming up, stealth mods have been heavily added, and more than one Commando has volunteered and stayed on active duty rolls after being seriously wounded or medically retired to due injuries.
Partial conversion 'borgs make sure that the troop will not be instantly eliminated by opponents fire, and are often communications operators, point men, or vehicle TC's.  Often, partial conversion cyborg troopers will fiegn death until the enemy moves in, relaying SALUTE (Size, Acitivity, Location, Unit, Terrain, Equipment) information, and then move to the attack when least expected, or maintaining the illusion of death so that they can be fully debriefed after the action.
Some RPA pilots have been rebuilt as partial conversion cyborgs, and it has made enemy forces be more carefull when approaching a fallen vehicle, since the pilot might be waiting to be pried out so he can take the attack to the foe with his own hands.  Partial conversion cyborgs can handle far more G-forces during combat manuevering than their unaugmented comrades, allowing them to outperform even juicers and crazies in air combat.
Partial conversion borgs are used in espionage, LRPS, and SEALS teams.  Their ability to take more damage and a better chance to withdraw under fire has made PC borgs more and more attractive.  In the upcoming order of battle, the partial conversion cyborg has an identical profile and appearance as your standard CS soldier, and will not be immediatly targeted, unlike the full conversion cyborgs.
Partial conversion cyborgs also make good mortar teams, with embedded hardware and software to assist them in plotting trajectories, their strength and endurance allowing them to shift and carry their weaponry, and their ability to stand up to an attack on their position making them ideal.
Partial conversion cyborgs are still very uncommon in CS forces, but as the Campaign of Unity goes on, more and more partial conversion cyborgs will enter active duty so that the Empire does not lose the valuable skills and knowledge of long time veterans.

FULL CONVERSION CYBORGS
Many people, hearing of full conversion cyborgs, think of the lumbering battlefield borgs, unaware that sometimes, the man next to him is a full conversion NETSEC operative.  Full conversion borgs are used in manufacturing, mining, security, scouting and police work.  Much like the Robocop program of Pre-Rifts Detriot (Hey, if the film was missing the beginning and end, a likely possibility, it would look like a documentary) CS Police are occasionally full conversion cyborgs.  NETSEC is particullarly interested, since it could give them a section capable of standing up to some of the nastier DB's that prey on humans in the 'burbs and even have the nerve to prey in the lower levels of the fortress cities.
Full Conversion Cyborgs are also being used in certian roles in the CS military.  Borgs make excellent heavy weapons platforms.  The new Borg Pack SR Hammer allows the borg to pack a repeating, ripple fire, 8 pack rocket launcher, with 10 reloads.  Full Conversion Borg strike teams, usually for Heavy Assault Infantry, are loaded with armor and heavy weapons, built in to run on an internal cold fusion nuclear reactor, and have proven to be a tough force to stop from accomplishing their mission.
Full conversion borgs allow the CS to retain the skills of a solider who was severely injured in the line of duty in an appropriate way, something that will be very important as the campaign of Unity goes on.  Full conversion borgs who have several decades and hundreds of battles under their belts make excellent officers who do not have to fear a snipers bolt while leading from the front.  Full conversion borgs are often a match for power armors, crazies, and an experienced veteran is a match for a juicer, without the harmful or expensive collateral costs.
Full Conversion Borgs are very limited as of right now, and even when they fully integrated into the armed forces and civilian protection services, they will be highly restricted, with close tabs kept on them.  As of this writing, the majority of FC's are in SF, Commando, Rangers, LRPS, and SEALS.

In order to keep everyone from surrendering their humanity and becoming a society of cyborgs, the cost is kept prohibitive and the technology is kept highly classified.
