Orange Belt Techniques Continued
What follows are brief notes on the mechanics of each technique. These are by no means intended as an instructional manual, but rather as a suppliment for someone who is already familiar with the Sam Pai Kenpo techniques.
Controlled Branch - Full Nelson
- Right foot scoop kick to groin
- Right stomp to instep as both arms thrust downward against hold, head striking backwards towards opponent's face
- Both hands regrab opponent's right wrist (Palm-up, thumbs paralell on back of hand, middle fingers overlapping)
- Left foot steps to 3:00
- right foot steps to 3:00 as you initiate wristlock, bending opponent over
- Shift f/b, right front snap kick to face, plant back to forward bow
- Assess damage, shift to n/b
- Check and cross-out
Hooking Wings - Two hand front push
- Step left foot back, right foot to cat as both hands crane over opponent's arms, pulling towards hips
- Right front snap kick to groin, plant forward
- Right inward-downward raking back-knuckle
- Right outward-downward raking back-knuckle
- Right upward elbow
- Right overhead palm claw
- Check and cross-out
Crossed Twigs - Double rear wrist grab
- Regrab with both hands, left foot forward to 1:30, right outward elbow to face
- Shift f/b right hand up and over opponents arms, pulling opponent's right arm over his left
- Right inward overhead elbow to spine
- Right front knee to body as both hands deliver simultanious palm strikes to kidneys, plant back to f/b
