~ Cute Chris ~

Chris is the active one! He is 16 + years old now, and DRIVES! He still enjoys baseball, and he has also discovered girls! :-)

Chris And Magic!

Here is a picture of Chris and Magic from late in 2004. Chris wasn't happy with his school pictures that year, so asked me to take one of him and Magic. This turned out so nice! Even Chris liked this one!

Baseball Boy!

Chris has had a busy year! In the spring of 2007, he played baseball for his high school team. Chris had a great season, with several home runs, and lots of extra base hits. He played second base, short stop and pitched. Chris is looking forward to 2008!

More Chris and Magic!

Magic is Chris' dog. We picked him out as a baby and brought him home at 8 weeks old. See him give Chris kisses the night we brought him home (top left). Chris showed Magic in Junior Showmanship a number of times. Magic is all grown up now! He finished his Championship on July 4, 2004, and is currently competing in agility. Chris loves to play with his "baby", though he hasn't been able to show him recently - he's too busy playing baseball! (That's ok - Mom's done the showing part!) Chris receives his Black Belt!

This is a picture of the presentation of Chris' belt on Jan. 19, 2002. We are all so proud of him! It takes 7 years for the youngest kids to earn their black belt. Chris started training when he was 3 1/2. It was a long time, but it was worth it! There is only one other student at our school who also earned his black belt at 10 years old. Congratulations!!! What a great accomplishment! From left to right in picture: Big Brother Mike, Mom, Dad (who tested the same day for 3rd degree black belt, and passed), Chris, Sensei Paula and Sensei. Chris received his First Degree Black Belt in Oct. 2003. What a great achievement!

First Time Fishing

In the summer of 2002, when we went to St. Louis to visit with our family, Chris had a chance to go and spend a couple days with his Aunt Vicki, Uncle Shane and cousins Samantha and Britain in Macon, MO. One of the things he wanted to do while he was there was to go fishing. Here are some pictures from that fishing trip! Chris caught (and returned) 8 fish! What a fun first time fishing! Thanks to the Halls for having him stay with them!

Karate Tournament!

Chris has always liked to compete in karate tournaments. These pictures are from the Karate Northwest Tournament in the spring of 2002. He is sparring here.

Lighthouses

In June of 2002, Chris' Aunt Donna and cousin Maddie came to visit us for the first time! Donna loves lighthouses, so we made an effort to go and visit several. Here are pictures of one on Whidbey Island (left - can you see Chris in the tower?), and in front of the Mukilteo Lighthouse.

Cute "Kids"!

(Left) There was Duncan, lying on the bed, just sleeping away. Along came Chris, who decided Duncan would be MUCH cuter covered, and snuggled. The rest is history! (Right) Merlin arrived on Aug. 29, 2001, and this picture of Chris and Merlin was taken that afternoon. What cuties!

At McChord Air Force Base

In August 2000, when my parents came to visit, Chris went with Larry and his Grandpa Glennie to visit the air force base. Looks like fun!

Leaping Lizards! (Or at least Chris!)

Every year at Karate Northwest, they have pictures taken of the students. After seeing this one of Chris doing his jump kick, I just couldn't resist! Love that tongue!
