The aurora, quite possibly what is being built in the Skunkworks currently, is the military's newest addition to it's arsenal of spy aircraft. Rumors state that the jet can cruise at speeds up to mach 12. Some people believe that when the aurora passed over San Francisco in 1989, it triggered off the

fault and caused an earthquake. Click here to see the blueprints for the Aurora. The X-30 which was meant to be completed in 1995 was scrapped due to an apparent lack of funds for NASA. If you look at the X-30 mockup picture and then the blueprint of the Aurora you can notice a resemblence.
