Wordplay

Premise: Two contestants try to figure out definitions of strange words with the help of three celebrities.
Rules: Wordplay is played on a gameboard that looks like this:

The words are connected, which proves important in the later rounds. The challenger begins round one by picking a word from the board. The three celebrities of the week give definitions, along with a witty explanation. The challenger wins by choosing the correct definition. If the challenger can't, the champion gets to try. The player with the right answer wins the money amount behind the word. (In round one, this is $25, $50, or $75. Round two doubles that, and round three is played for four times the original value. In addition, if words are connected to each other, the whole path is scored, It is thus to the players' advantage to try and connect words for the biggest possible payoff. If neither player picks the right definition, a "blank" symbol (a red/white barber pole on it's side). One word was the "bonus word," worth a trip to the player that found and won it, regardless of the outcome of the game.
After three words each, the player with the most money won the game, and moved on to the Double Definition bonus game. If the game ends in a tie, the champion chooses a word, and the challenger chooses to guess or pass. If the guesser is right, he or she wins, otherwise the opponent wins.
Bonus Game: "Double Definitions": In this game, the champion had 45 seconds to cross the board from left to right. The board looked like this:

The contestant called a number, and revealed two definitions for the same word. Only by guessing the word could the contestant move on, otherwise a block went up, and the contestant could only move up or down. Getting to the right side won the jackpot, or $100 for each $ on
the board when time expired. The jackpot started at $5,000, and added $2,500 each day it wasn't won. Contestants could stay on for three days maximum.
