2000 Pacific Alliance Championships
Yesterday was the men's team/all around where China edged the US
for the gold by just over .1 with Australia taking the bronze.
Blaine Wilson (USA) dominated the AA by over half a point! The
Olympic Test Event Champ, Zhao Sheng (CHN), placed 2nd ahead of
teammate Li Dezhi (CHN). Americans, Sean Townsend and Steve
McCain placed 4th and 5th.
For the women, the US breezed through the competition leaving Australia and China with the silver and bronze. Surprisingly, Japan overtook Canada for 4th. Elise Ray (USA) also picked up the AA victory with Chinese star and current BB World Champ, Ling Jie, in 2nd. American Morgan White and Australian Lisa Skinner tied for the bronze.
