Zeena McLaughlin (AUS) and Andrei Kravtsov (AUS) won the All Around titles at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Malaysia this month.

For the Event Finals, Lisa Mason (ENG) won the Vault (9.231) while teammate Annika Reeder won Floor (9.675). 13 year old Aussie sensation Trudi McIntosh won Beam (9.550) and her training mate Lisa Skinner took home the gold on Uneven Bars with a 9.612.
The Men's Event Finals were a showcase for the Australians who won 4 gold medals and 2 silvers and 1 bronze. Again the former Russian star Andrei Kravtsov (AUS) dominated with golds on Floor (9.325), Pommel Horse (9.487) and Parallel Bars (9.637). Australia's other gold came from Pavel Mamine on the Rings with a 9.337. Simon Hutcheon (RSA) and his teammate Christian Brezeanu went 1-2 on Vaulting with a 9.537 and 9.281 repectively. The Canadian Men won their only gold on High Bar with a stellar performance from young Alexander Jeltkov (9.425).
