Drive *Synopsis: October 18, 2000 When Tom Paris enters the Delta Flyer in a good-natured space race between former enemy factions, his co-pilot B'Elanna Torres, fearing her relationship with Paris is disintegrating, takes out her aggression with risky maneuvers that spark a confrontation between the couple. Soon, Paris realizes that hardlined dissidents plan to explode the Flyer as it crosses the finish line. In order to succeed he must take the reigns of both the ship and his personal life, executing a flawless evasive maneuver and a marriage proposal, simultaneously. Webmistress's Thoughts: This episode started off as just another unoriginal episode. But as we found out, it was the best episode yet because of Tom proposing marriage to B'Elanna. I know we have all been waiting for this for a long time and it finally came. They've been stuck out in the Delta Quadrant for seven years and we've seen their relationship grow and develop and finally they're getting together. If they wouldn't have stopped the race to talk about their relationship, they would have been killed. Now that they're married, I can't wait to see what the writers are going to do about furthering their relationship... or even who else they're going to put together. We're still waiting on Chakotay and Janeway, Harry and a hologram, and Seven with some new character. Give me your thoughts! |
