Flesh & Blood Part I & II *Synopsis: November 29, 2000 Special 2-Hour Presentation The Doctor sides with a group of renegade Holograms that have been enhanced, made adaptable and turned into combative prey for the Hirogen, commiting treason against Voyager in the process. In a raging battle among the Hirogens and Holograms, the U.S.S. Voyager is defenseless to attack after The Doctor, feeling sympathetic towards his own kind, transfers Voyager's defensive frequency information to their ship. Webmistress's Thoughts: This episode was yet another mutiny. But this time, it was the doctor who mutinied. It's kind of interesting how Janeway keeps taking back the people who mutiny as if nothing ever happened. The hunters and the prey. Near the end of the episode, the holograms beamed the hunters to the surface of an almost uninhabitable planet. The holograms also beamed down to the surface and began killing the hunters. When the hunters grabbed a gun and tried to kill the holograms, the laser beam went right through the holograms. How did the hunters expect to contain the holograms once they'd captured them? The holograms were copied from the doctors own program. It seems like they copied every byte except for the ethical subroutines. It's not hard to see why the holograms were so arrogant and stubborn! This episode should have been written as a one hour episode, instead of two. It really wasn't anything special from the one hour episodes. I am a big fan of Robert Picardo. He's a great actor and I think he did a very good and convincing job in this episode. ;) Your Thoughts: Give me your thoughts to this review. |
