Inside Man *Synopsis: Star Trek: The Next Generation's Marina Sirtis and Dwight Schultz Guest Star The crew is optimistic when Starfleet transmits a holographic version of Lieutenant Reginald Barclay with a plan to deliver Voyager to the Alpha Quadrant. While the Doctor and Seven of Nine assist the holo-Barclay, the real Barclay, seen back at Pathfinder Project Research Lab with Commander Harkins and Admiral Paris, realizes his hologram has been hijacked and re-programmed by the Ferengi. When he learns their motive and their method, Barclay enlists Counselor Deanna Troi's help. Webmistress's thoughts: I have doubts when people of The Next Generation guest star on Voyager. Don't get me wrong, I loved TNG. It's just that every Voyager episode with Barclay and Deanna have been really borring. This episode wasn't an exception. The basic story was okay, but a little predictable at times. It lacked the suspense that we usually see in the Voyager episodes. It's as if the writers pulled this episode out of thin air. It didn't have any correlation with any other episode recently, other than they're getting real close to being home and their monthly corespondance with Earth. On the bright side, Voyager is getting closer to home and they are interacting more with Starfleet. It is getting more exciting with each episode as we know that they're almost home. Do you really think Captain Janeway would be so willing to head straight on into a gravometric distortion on the say-so of a hologram? The doc didn't agree with Barclay's assessment that the shields would protect the crew, so why didn't he say anything to the Captain? Was he malfunctioning again?
