Repentance *Synopsis: January 31, 2001 New Episode Seven of Nine faces repressed feelings about the pain she inflicted on thousands in the Collective when she witnesses the intense guilt experienced by a violent alien prisoner, rehabilitated through The Doctor's medical efforts. Webmistress's Thoughts: This episode gave me mixed feelings. It talked about capital punishment and how it should not be executed because of a medical procedure which made him feel guilt for what he had done. When does remorse bring back someone who has been murdered? If he were to be let out he probably would not kill again, but that does not negate the fact that he already murdered. One thing puzzled me though. It was said that Seven was not afraid when she was held at knife-point. Why not? Is she that guilt ridden about what she did as a Borg to thousands of drones that she couldn't care less about her own life? Your Thoughts Give me your thoughts! |
