*Synopsis: The Void February 14, 2001 New Episode In an extraordinary diplomatic effort, Janeway creates an alliance among several aggressive alien vessels trapped together in a spacial void, able only to prey on each other for survival. Webmistress's Thoughts: I thought this was a very good episode which showed the morals of Captain Janeway. She wasn't ready to abandon Starfleet regulations, and instead, made an alliance with her enemies. Even when supplies were running low, she opened up Voyager's resources to show her good faith. And she did not accept the device that would have gotten them out of the void when she learned that people were killed to attain it. This was a good example of how relationships are suppossed to be kept, with trust. The part I liked the best though, was when the native creatures to the void, began to communicate with the PADDs, through music. It reminded me of the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
