In celebration of spring, and to rid myself of the winter blahs,
I made up these beady gifts.
A single cab with ruffle, my twig vine done separately from the cab
and then attached. Flower beads on the bale and a spiral rope.
Oglala Butterfly stitch, thanks Marcie and Mare!! String beads in multiples
of three for desired length adding the clasp/closure at each end.
Row 1 string three beads, go through one bead in base row; *skip a bead,
string three beads*. Repeat from * to * to end.
Row 2 work up to middle bead of 3 bead loop, *string 5 beads, go through
middle bead of next 3 bead loop.* Repeat from * to * to end.
Row 3 work up to middle bead of 5 bead loop, *string 7 beads, go through
middle bead of next 5 bead loop.* Repeat from * to * to end.
Row 4 work up to middle bead of 7 bead loop, *string 9 beads, go through
middle bead of next 7 bead loop.* Repeat from * to * to end.
Then I switch to smaller beads to do a trim row and I put an bigger accent
bead in the middle of 11 bead loops.
For Mary's set, I did row 2 twice and row 3 twice to make it lush & full.
Marissa's neckace is simpler, stopping at row 3 with smaller gold trim beads.
All three bracelets consist of row 1 and row 2 with an accent bead in the
middle of the 5 bead loop.
For Marissa
The cab is an agate slice which was painted when I got it from a rock shop.
For Jenny
The bitty beaded bead is 1 charlotte, 8 delicas, 1 charlotte across.
The hearts are turquoise, reconstituted I think, but pretty anyway.
