Great Blue Heron Chicks

The images below were taken from this location
on April 23, 1999 using a 5x teleconverter.
Of the six nests occupied by heron there were chicks in three.
Chicks in each nest were a different age.

NEST 1 Chicks too small to see	NEST 1 but not too small to eat
NEST 2 At the fuzzy stage	NEST 2 and still hungry
NEST 3 Getting feathers	NEST 3 and frisky
