DEEP: The complete circulating tape from the satellite feed
broadcast, 18 songs by Bob and 8 by Tom Petty, plus the bonus
track. Quality is excellent, particularly sharp on the acoustic
numbers, were the highlights of the Dylan/Petty pairing. A typical
show for 1986, with a few particularly energetic songs featuring
the ever-tasty leads of Mike Campbell and the keyboards of Benmont
Tench. Not everyone's favorite tour, but more than cursory listens
will reveal some great vocal performances. Nice package, too, color
glossy photos, black disks. Recommended as a keepsake from '86.
NOTE: The standard cover slips for this set reportedly misstate the breakdown of
tracks between discs, and mangle the titles of several of the Petty songs.
