NOTE: The cover slips for this set incorrectly list "Forever Young" as a Syracuse performance.
DEEP: The Jones Beach performance is presented here in its
entirety (previous versions omitted two tracks). Dylan's
performance is on the money and the quality is excellent, with
vocals clear and upfront and the music nicely separated and
distinct. This one ranks right up there with the Radio City show.
For Dylan's exceptional Bridge Benefit performance, the board
quality is somewhat disappointing, although very good and
thoroughly listenable. Nevertheless, the performances here are all
on the money. Some very well chosen tracks from Syracuse complete
the set: Nice quality, too. Full disks, beautiful color artwork,
overall good sound and rare performances add up to a real keeper.
Highly recommended.
CDG: Excellent soundboard tape of an excellent show. The
filler is very good too.
