NOTE: 2006 reissue of the original Capricorn release, to which the quoted comments originally referred.
DEEP: Every song Dylan played on the 1974 tour is
represented on this set; Some rare live stuff here and, as one
would expect, the quality is a little uneven. Well represented are
the previously released 1974 Boston and New York soundboards. The
rest are audience recordings which run the gamut from fair to very
good, with nothing unlistenable and most very enjoyable. This was
not my favorite tour but it is a real treat to hear the Planet
Waves stuff live.
EDLIS: This is my favorite CD title from 74 tour. For those
who might not be too impressed with the other official and
unofficial releases from the 74 tour, if you can stand the variable
sound quality, then this might change your mind on the 74 tour.
