Tracklist:
DEEP: The complete "festival" set of a unique show
- no TOOM tracks are performed, giving the show a much
different vibe. There is a sound defect running intermittently
throughout the recording, but it's not as intrusive as at first
bite. Beyond that, crisp and clear with the brights bright and the
bass booming. Not great but enjoyable; upbeat and flowing, with an
old-timey, "feel good" sound. A rip roaring affair, loose
as goose grease and as much fun as rolling in the mud with your
buddies. Not for all tastes but a delightful pleasure for some, I'm
sure.
CDG: Sound quality is quite good, despite some perceptible
flaws. The music must be described as undistinguished -- Dylan
turns in some fine vocal performances, but the overall feel of the
gig is low-key and uninspired. It's all rather inconsistent; and
there are better played, better recorded and better presented discs
from the European Tour of '98.
