Adventures of Jet ~ This band is from Dallas and they are so awesome! If you have Napster, download one of their songs, especially like "Wasted Time," and "Blue Divine." They're so great!
Aerosmith ~ "I've been a huge fan of Aerosmith for several years now. They're American's greatest rock 'n' roll band ever and I'm so glad that they're still around and still rockin'! I feel so grateful that they didn't stop forever in the early 80s and they get better every year. They've been a huge inspiration in my personal life" ~ Kelley
Tori Amos ~ "SHE IS A GREAT SINGER AND I THINK THE SECOND BEST SONGWRITER BESIDES JAKOB. I LOVE THEM BOTH THE SAME AND MY OWN SONGS I WRITE ARE LIKE THEIRS. I STILL LOVE THE WALLFLOWERS THE MOST!"

Beastie Boys ~ "Well, this is pretty different than the Wallflowers, but ya gotta admit that, "Intergalectic" is one awesome song. Adam Yauch, Adam Horovitz (my fav BB), and Mike D. do a great job! Their performance during the VMA's this year was great, if you saw it!" ~ Sonja

Big Wreck ~ "They aren't big, but they're attitude can cause a wreck. Heart of Gold." ~ "Theweez21"
Black Lab ~ "They're incredible. I have seen them in concert twice, and loved every minute of it. The music is lush and full -- almost tangible, as real in your hand as in your ear. The lyrics are deep without delving into the realms of pretention (a difficult feat for anyone who ever wrote a thesis on Nietzche). And if you ever get a chance to see them live, say "hi" to them after the show, they're great with their fans." ~ "Susie"
C
Mariah Carey ~ Everyone is gonna hate me, because I prefer Mariah over The Wallflowers... I think Jakob is the hotest guy alive, and I love the music and I love the entire band; but Mariah Carey is my idol and I look up to her... I have a homepage about here, at http://fly.to/mariahrules. She is a very talented singer and songwritter... Her music is what I mainly listen to, but I love all music... The Wallflowers comes a very close second to Mariah Carey... I'm really sorry for saying this, please don't hate me..." ~ "M.C."
The Clash ~ Everyone should know this band! They are one of the coolest late 70's - early 80's band that I grew up on! And of course they were Jakob's influence! I just loved how the guys covered 'Brand New Cadillac' in concert, so I went ahead and bought "London Calling"! I love it!!

Check them out" :) ~ *Kendra*
Sheryl Crow ~ This girl is great!!! She is very lyrically talented!! I love the songs, "All I Wanna do" and "Change"!
"Sheryl Crow is a great artist and a great person! (I can tell from her interviews!) and she also toured with the Wallflowers for awhile when they were just becoming popular so you have to love her!" ~ Christyna
Counting Crows ~ Adam is awesome!! I know because I ran into him before the concert in '97 and he was kind enough to give my brother and I his autograph! They are also great in concert!
D
Dave Matthew's Band ~ "All WF fans should check out Dave Matthew's Band! DMB's lyrics are soulful and the beats are rock! If the Wallflowers weren't my favorite band, DMB would be!!" ~ Jami
"I'm not a Dave Matthews Band fan but they are really original and I like the way they sound with all they're different instruments." ~ Maria
E
Everclear ~ I have their latest album, "So Much For The Afterglow" and it's the bomb! They sound heavier on some songs, but I like "I Will Buy You A New Life." I figured everyone else likes that song too! And of course, Rami plays on that song, so it has to be good! I almost saw them in concert twice, but I hope to see them next time they are here in town!!
"I really love Everclear. They rock on their album, "So Much For The Afterglow." I love all the songs and positively love the song that Rami plays on. He is so talented!!!" ~ Christie
F
Foo Fighters ~ "I love these guys! Not as much as the Wallflowers, but they are really good. I love "A320" which is on the Godzilla soundtrack, so you may of heard it, and "Walking After You" sounds real dreamy and stuff. Pretty different from the Wallflowers...more "
"Foo Fighters! I think I would have been a fan no matter what they sounded like. I've loved Dave Grohl since he was in Nirvana and I knew that the Foo Fighters were going to be an awesome band before the first record because everything that Dave does musically is totally incredible. They're one of the few great rock bands that exist today and their albums are two of my favorites of all time" ~ Kelley
Fuel ~ "I also like Fuel. I dunno for some reason. They just appeal to me. 'Shimmer' is an awesome song and so is, 'Walk the Sky' from the Godzilla CD. Check 'em out. They are not as good as the Wallflowers, but they are really good. Heh. Peace Luv and Wallflowers" ~ Liz Jenna

L
Sean Lennon ~ "I love Sean Lennon! He is new and original. He is unlike anything anyone has ever heard. He sings the awesomest and alternative/rock'n'roll. His music hs been called "a breath of fresh air. Not only is Sean a talented musician, but also very sexy! Especially his bleached blonde hair. People shouldn't compare Sean to his dad just because of his last name, just like people shouldn't compare Jakob to Bob. Jake and Sean are very incredible musicians and people should listen to their music with an open mind, P.S. I am gonna marry Sean someday, I hope! : )" ~ Susan
M
Maypole ~ We've got to like these guys! TOBY!! Of course Toby is from the original Wallflowers (and he's hot in my opinion next to Jakob) I've heard some samples of their music online and they sound awesome. They also played with the guys and the Jayhawks in a couple of shows in '97.
"Maypole is another great band. I saw them when they opened for the Wallflowers back in December. They were so much better than the Jayhawks." ~ "Kissel"
Matchbox 20 ~ You just got to love them because they sound so similar to The Wallflowers. Rob has a great voice just like Jakob!! I heard they are great in concert!!

"I love Matchbox 20 and Third Eye Blind. I saw them both in concert and both of them rocked." ~ Katie
"Matchbox 20: I think they're one of the best bands ever (just like the Wallflowers) and it took me a long time to find their music, the kind of music I had always been looking for!! I suppose you like it too, so I wrote this!! Thankx, SONJA"
"Matchbox 20, Rob and Jake can sure sing, (Rob is also pretty good looking like our lovely Jake) and if you've ever noticed Adam Gaynor, the rhythmn guitarist for Matchbox 20, he looks a little bit like Mario." ~ Nichole
Sarah McLachlan ~ Well I don't know about you, but I just absolutely love Sarah! She is my fave female artist! I have the albums, "Surfacing", "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy", "The Freedom Sessions", and "Solace" and all of them are good!! But I would have to say that "Fumbling" is my 2nd fave album so far in my life!! (of course "Bringing Down The Horse" is #1!!) 2-hour performance I've ever seen!! Anyway, I've seen her in concert and she was awesome!! The most powerful
Alanis Morissette ~ "I really like Alanis because her songs also mean something and the fact that she is a woman in music is a good enough reason for me" ~ Josephine
N
New Low (Formally Maypole) ~ "No need for an explanation, Tobi's in it. Truthful Interrogation (AKA EUTERPE)" ~ "Theweez21"
'N Sync ~ "I love ‘N Sync. They are all very cute and talented and they are GREAT to their fans. They work very hard and shouldn’t be categorized as just another boy band. They’re soooo sweet" ~ Nikki
O
Oasis ~ "Besides being a huge fan of "The Wallflowers", I'm also a huge fan of Oasis! My three favorite "Oasis" songs are: "Live Forever", "Some Might Say", and "All Around The World". R
Radiohead ~ "Radiohead. Thom Yorke (lead singer and guitarist) has one of the best voices out there. All Radiohead's albums are great. They also write some pretty interesting lyrics. Their album covers and the insides are always neat." ~ "keroflower"
"This is my 2nd fav band next to our boys. Thom has the most amazing voice and lyrics. Everyone should check "Ok Computer" (or Pablo Honey, or The Bends). Jakob has, and he considers it the best album to come out in '97, and I agree!!" ~ Sonja
R.E.M. ~ R.E.M because they've been around for a while and their songs actually have meaning. Their "Automatic for The People" album actually replaced BDTH as my fav ablim. They're also funny in their reserved way and believe in important things like saving the earth, etc. And Michael Ward isn't the only man who can look good bald - MICHAEL STIPE!!! ~ Mandy
"I think you should add R.E.M. to your list of bands liked by Wallflowers fans! I mean come on, those guys are legends! And you have to admit, Michael Stipe is awesome!
Remy Zero ~ "A band that every Wallflower fan should check out is called Remy Zero. It's the kind of roosty-acoustic rock that the Wallflowers are. I think you can only get their CD from an on-line source, but they are plenty of RAs available on the Internet. If you have a few minutes check them out~" ~ Jen
"Remy Zero. I was prompted to listen to Villa Elaine by Black Lab's guitarist, Michael. He's got some great taste because this band totally took me by surprise. They are excellent. I fell in love with their song "Hermes Bird" after hearing the very first bar. More lush melodies, electrified and acoustic guitar. This band is not afraid of their instruments. The album is now available in stores." ~ "Susie"
S
Semisonic ~ I've seen these guys in concert and they were great!! I also emailed them and got a response back!! If you want to email them, here's their email adress: semisonic@aol.com They are so cool!
"I'll say Semisonic. Their single, 'Closing Time' ROCKS. And their upcoming single, 'Singing In My Sleep' is absolutely amazing. Also - they mention the Wallflowers in one of their songs. It is the last track of their latest album, 'Feeling Strangely Fine,' which is called, 'To The Movies' and around the second verse, he says, 'and the Wallflowers CD ended half an hour ago.' Pretty groovy stuff." ~ "Eikoop"
T
Third Eye Blind ~ I have these guys' album and it rocks! I love the released songs, "Semi-Charmed Life," "How's It Gonna Be," and "Losing A Whole Year." They just released, "Jumper." You know, that song inspired the girl from the FANactic show for 3EB.
"They are really cool. Stephan Jenkins is a little stuck up but the rest of the group is pretty cool. Their music is great." ~ "Kissel"
"3EB is similar to the Wallflowers because their lyrics actually have meaning. They are not a 'pop' band (Semi-Charmed Life leads you to believe that) and they have a lot slower songs than the singles that are out there. They are great live, too. Along with BDTH, their album ("Third Eye Blind") has gotta be one of my favorites" ~ Alena
Tiny Buddy ~ "TINY BUDDY is a REALLY great band, one of my fave! MICHAEL WARD is the lead singer! He rocks! The album Ginourmous ROCKS! They have A LOT of really good songs like Cheap Voices. MIKEY can definitely sing! They are coming out with a new CD this fall so watch out for it! ~ Veronica
Travis ~ "This is just a great band, with some fantastic tunes, and a pretty cute lead singer!! Their album The Man Who is worth a listen to!!!!" ~ Sharni
V
Vertical Horizon ~ I love this band! Their new album, "Everything You Want" is awesome! Every song is good..."We Are" and "Everything You Want" are the 2 releases they have - I definitely recommend it!
"Radiohead-They're original. They're unlike any other, and not afraid to be themselves. Everclear-they cover topics other bands wouldn't touch w/a ten-foot pole, i.e. family issue...U2-they've stayed around this long, they've got to be doing something right! REM-very solid band, very cohesive, earthy but interesting. Mike Stipe has an unmistakable voice. Counting Crows-listen to "Omaha," you'll hear it. The Clash-for when you just have to rock out. What hasn't been mentioned? Beck-he proves white boys can rap, and he's got mass style and humor. The Band-who else?! Bonnie Raitt-this woman can out-play and out-sing ANY guy! She's got the blues coming out her pores! Metallica-the last standing of the metal bands, they are more political/social than others. Sublime-Great band, great rhythms. Once again, white boys can rap...or maybe "ska." Sheryl Crow-she can hold her own, just like Bonnie. CCR-You simply cannot resist tapping your toes to these guys! Eric Clapton-there's a reason they call him God...Tom Petty-two words: Free Fallin'. Cake-Comic relief! Stray Cats-Brian Setzer is a great musician, very classic, and great live. Nirvana-they paved the way for the '90's, basically. The Beatles-John, Paul, George and Ringo. Need I say more?!:):):)" ~ "Annika"
"Smashing Pumpkins, beck, The Beatles, U2, Fleetwood Mac, The Doors, Billy Joel" ~ "James Mancino"
"Beatles, Nine Days, Vertical Horizon, Fastball, Goo Goo Dolls, Semisonic, U2, Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, Jimi Hendrix, the Smiths, the Cure, Coldplay, the Verve, Hootie and the Blowfish...(I know you asked for only one, but my interests include many bands and I just couldn't bear to leave anyone out!)" ~ Max pax_americanus_22@yahoo.com
