Reflections

Here Jakob probably talks about how people can pretend to be your friends and then all of the sudden they leave you. How people can turn their backs on a society that has been emotionally cruel to them. They do this so they won't have to go throught the pain of loving a person and then seeing them leave and leaving you alone. He says here that if we didn't feel anything we would in a way be better off since we don't have to go through the pains of life.

"Say when your alone, it's better cause nobody knows you. When no one's your friend it's better cause nobody leaves you" - It's just basically better to be alone cause nobody knows you and therefore can't hurt you.

"So you turn your back on a world that you could never have cause your heart's been cracked and everyone else's is going mad" - You've been hurt so many times that you want to severe any types of relationships to avoid being hurt.

"But I hear voices, and I see colors, but I wish I felt nothing, then it might be easy for me like it is for you" - He wants to end all ties with people but he of course can't avoid interacting with them. He just wants to live an easy life like many do.

"Now all these people come from deep holes pullin you down. It's just no use when all the abuse follows you around" - He also feels that since you don't want anything to do with relationships or whatever people see you as a freak or something. They put you down.

"By the morning your gone leaving me here all alone, saying it's no mystery I know that nobody here needs me" - Feels that people just go out of his life cause he isn't needed.

"And I know that you believe that you an me don't belong here and the worse we could do is keep trying to pretend we care" - Pretending to care that people don't want you is one of the worse thing they could do cause in fact they really don't care about anything anymore. They don't want to lead their lives thinking how miserable they are cause nobody likes them.
