An American Werewolf in Paris

We begin with three college-aged American males (Thomas Everett Scott, Vince Vieluf, and Phil Buckman). They are on their own "Daredevil Tour of Europe." We follow them to Paris where Andy (Scott) wants to show up his friends by bungee jumping off the Eifle Tower. Seconds before he leaps they hear someone coming. They all hide and the someone is a beaufiful young girl (Julie Delpy) she is obviously in emotional pain and she jumps. Andy, having fallen in love at first sight, jumps after her, he, of course, attached to the bungee cord.

It's a cool opening and the movie can best be described as one that feeds off a better movie because it is unable to stand on its own. I'm not saying it's bad, but it's not the greatest. We soon discover that the girl's name is Serafine and she has a strange homelife and a hidden past. It's obvious what it is by the title. The scare factor is pretty jumpy. It has its moments, but the acting drags down the quality. Scott isn't an able enough actor to sell us on the fact that he's a daredevil. He always seems too scared. He's wimpy and almost cowardly. The end is corny, but if you like horror flicks I gotta recommend this one. I give An American Werewolf in Paris a C+.
