Deep Impact

What the hell happened to summer movies? They used to be all good, now it's rare for them to be entertaining. Godzilla is the best example of this, but Deep Impact is another good idea gone bad. It has the best cast it could possibly want. I mean Robert Duvall. Robert FREAKING Duvall!! What is the problem? How can they give him such a crappy script? What is Mimi Leder thinking? She can't direct a school bus into a parking spot let alone a big budget summer movie.

Everyone that liked this movie said Tea Leoni carried it. I hated Leoni in this movie. Her voice is so grating and could someone get her a decent hair cut. It irritates the hell out of me. Her hair looks so dry and flippy.

Elijah Wood is good, but he needs a better script. Have I stressed that enough the movie sucks. I don't even want to start on what really would've happened if a comet hits the earth like that. I give Deep Impact a D-.
