It's hard to find anyone out there that doesn't like Will Smith. He just comes off as the son everyone wants. The friend everyone would like to have. He's very charming and that's why he plays such a great action star. We want him to win.
A man that doesn't have the perfect body. A man that isn't perfect in looks. But he can kick some ass. Every guy thinks this is a description of them, but it's as much Smith as it is anyone.
In Enemy Smith plays a lawyer that receives a disk that incriminates the wrong man. A man with too much power. The story is pretty much set at that and we just follow Smith as he saves himself, his family, and saves the day.
But I wish the ending had been different. Sometimes it's more frightening if the bad guy wins. It makes the audience say "that's a GOOD movie," not just "it was okay. it was funny." It's a step that someone should've taken.
Enemy of the State is a tad cliched and not all that original. It is entertaining and makes you think a little more than most other movies. I give it a B.
