Okay I walked in with scepticism, but I mean how couldn't I? The Lion King was one of Disney's greatest films ever and they plan to have a sequel. Come on! You just can't remake that greatness.
They say the animation is supposed to be the same, but the film was completed in half the time as the original. The lions seem sharper and pointier, more angular in their faces. The magic is lost. The pride is doomed.
The story is similar to Romeo and Juliet, but it's pretty neat. I like the story. I just can't get over the falling of the animation. I'm sorry. I give The Lion King 2 a C+.
