Mercury Rising

(Brief Note: Bruce Willis may be the first action star to go bald and not try to cover it up with a bad toupee)

I'm not a big Alec Baldwin fan, in fact, I find him to be insanely over-rated. But here he is cast very well. He plays the bad guy. The worst of the worst. And he does it well.

Bruce Willis is Art, an FBI agent that begins to hate the bureau and decides to protect the life of an autistic child (Miko Hughes) when the FBI decides to kill him. I know that isn't the best writing I've ever done, but the weakest part of the movie is the writing. I liked the film just fine, but the writing seems weak.

Miko Hughes does a good job at being autistic, but I don't like seeing him as autistic. I like this little child star.

The ending is very predictable, but so what? It's getting rare to see an original ending anymore that doesn't piss you off. I give Mercury Rising a C-.
