Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil

What the hell was that all about?

This was my first reaction to watching Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. It was like a murder mystery on acid. It was so strange and so weird. The problem wasn't this, the problem was that it was so boring. It's about forty-five minutes too long for my attention span about such a topic. It seems that the way people talk there were more characters in the book we didn't even get to meet. I'm glad because I would have went to nappy time then.

I don't see what's the big deal about Savannah's people. They are just like everywhere I've been. You have your out front weirdos that don't care what people think and are bizarre all the time and you have your closet weirdos that are prim and proper on the outside, but are just as insane as the rest. It's no big deal to me. I don't understand why a book or a movie was made about the city being so special.

The acting is good, but the script drags everyone down. It's so dull and uneventful. I've thrown out better crap than this. Clint Eastwood's direction is standard: nothing special and nothing bad.

I didn't know what to expect going into the Garden, but now I wish I would've just stayed out. I give Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil a D.
