The X-Files: Fight the Future
It's hard to sit here and say that it should've stayed on the small screen. I feel that way though. It seemed like a two hour version of the show with a bigger budget. There was nothing new brought to the movie. Chris Carter, I blame you for this. You get the money to make a movie and you give us killer bees. I think I saw that on Fox in a made-for-TV movie.
David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson both do great jobs. There isn't much else to say. Both seem like they're above this material though. Carter failed to give them the script they deserved. This conspiracy thing is getting old and they need to do something else. It's no longer about the X-Files, it's about the conspiracy to end the X-Files. It sucks!
The best part of the movie is the killer alien. It rocks. It makes the creatures in Alien look so mild. The alien here moves so fast and slashes and cuts so quickly it's incredible.
The ending was pretty standard (for the X-Files), I guess I just expected more. I give The X-Files: Fight the Future a C+.
