Books by Beatrix Potter
Beatrix Potter was the author of such classic tales as "The Tale of Benjamin Bunny," "The Tale of Tom Kitten," "Squirrel Nutkin" and many, many others. Her books were written mainly for youngsters (3-7), but her illustrations are so lovely and her stories so full of fun that all of my sisters and I enjoy them.
Her stories about Tom Kitten and Squirrel Nutkin are hilariously funny- and have a moral. Actually- all of her stories have a subtle moral- be it obey your parents, don't eat too much or don't associate with the puddle ducks.
JI think every home should have at least one of Beatrix Potter's books, but I don't think you could limit yourself to one once you read it. These are truly classic stories that will be read and enjoyed for a lifetime.
MOVIES BASED ON HER BOOKS
I have seen several versions, and one company's production of these movies is amazing. They are classics in themselves.
The screen plays and illustrations are very true to Beatrix Potter's books- and the beginning of each video starts out with a dramatization of Beatrix Potter sketching, writing a letter, etc. I really recommend these! They are only half an hour- and full of pretty music, pretty animation and Potter's great stories!
