Uri Geller sueing Nintendo for 97.6M over a Kadabra card?

Spoon-bending psychic Uri Geller says he intends to sue Nintendo for $97.6 million, claiming his likeness was used for an evil Pokémon character.Geller was in Tokyo two weeks ago when his translator's daughter pointed out the similarities on a Pokémon card: a spoon-wielding, psychic character named "Un-Geller," or "Evil-Geller" in Japanese. The character, known as Kadabra in the U.S., uses its power to induce headaches in people.

"I couldn't believe my eyes. You can imagine how angered I was," said Geller. "The last thing I want is for a whole new generation of children to think I am bad or that spoon-bending is evil. The person who created the character was definitely influenced by me throughout the years," says Geller, who has performed in Japan every year since 1973. "$100 million is a fraction (of Pokémon revenue), and God knows how many Un-Geller Pokemon cards have been around the globe." Before the discovery, Geller visited Tokyo's Pokémon Center. "There were hundreds of people in line. I was mobbed by kids. Some wanted my autograph and picture. Some looked quite frightened. "Someone went out for lunch when that character was created. This is the most damaging thing I have ever encountered."
