Alder Lake (2931 acres)
This large reservoir covers parts of Pierce (1690 acres), Thurston (1117 acres), and Lewis (124 acres) Counties. It has several boat ramps and good bank access. Primary species include rainbow, cutthroat, kokanee, largemouth bass, yellow perch, black crappie and bullhead catfish. The season is open year-round. Disabled accessibility at Tacoma City Light park - Level 1. WCT, Blk Tpa, dp, docks, mooring.

American Lake (1125.1 acres)
Elevation 235ft. Max Depth 90ft.
This lake is 8 miles SW of Tacoma. Take the Camp Murray-Madigan exit from Hwy 5 to one mile to lake. The lake holds Rainbow Trout, Cutthroat, kokanee, Yellow perch,Pumpkinseed, largemouth and Rock bass, and Brown bullhead. There are several boat launches on the lake. Also Bill's Boathouse.

Bay Lake (118 acres)
Located about seven miles south of Vaughn on the Longbranch Peninsula. Bay is stocked with rainbow trout, and also provides fishing for largemouth bass, perch, pumpkinseed sunfish, and brown bullhead catfish. It has a public access with toilet facilities. Open from the last Saturday in April through October 31.

Bonney Lake (17.4 acres)
Elevation 605ft. Max Depth 23ft.
This lake is only 23 feet at it's deepest. Fish species include largemouth bass, rock bass, yellow perch, pumpkinseed sun-fish, brown bullhead catfish and planted rainbow trout. Prime bass habitat includes pad fields, some overhanging trees and brush, old logs and wood in the water, cattails and some private docks.
Public access is provided by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wild-life. Has limited parking space with a portable toilet. Has a gravel launch area.
To get there from Auburn, travel south on Highway 167 to the Highway 410 exit. Exit onto Highway 410 and travel east for about 4 miles to Myers Road. Exit left onto Myers Road for 3/4 mile to 74th Street. Turn right onto 74th Street for only a short distance. You'll see it on your right.

Bradley Pond
Bradley pond is a small lake off meridian in Puyallup behind Wal-mart. May be a juvenile only lake, check for special regs. It had a fair supply of trout earlier this year but it has been over fished by tourists. The pond was closed this summer to install sidewalks around it.

Carney Lake (39 acres)
Located 4 miles north of Vaughn on the Kitsap-Pierce County line, Carney is stocked maily with rainbow trout. It has a public access with toilet facilities. There is a split season: last Saturday in April through June 30, closed during July and August, and re-opening September 1 through October 31. Internal combustion engines are prohibited

Chambers Lake (80 acres)
Elevation 315ft.
This Small lake which holds rainbow, cutthroat, and largemouth bass. Located one mile NE of Roy on the Fort Lewis military reservation.

Clear Lake (155 acres)
This lake is 17 miles south of Puyallup on Hwy 161. Turn left at Clear Lake N Rd East to find the public boat ramp. A single concrete ramp, able to launch boats to 16ft safely. However the water is shallow at the ramp. There is lot's parking available. There is a resort on the lake (Clear Lake Resort and Store) with camping available. The lake holds Rainbows, Silvers, Crappie and Perch. Clear Lake is 85 feet deep at the center. No water-skiing allowed.

Crescent Lake
Crescent Lake is located in Gig Harbor. Going north on Hwy. 16, take the Purdy exit. Follow through to the second light then take a right onto 144th. If you are traveling south on Hwy. 16, you take the Purdy exit to the first light then take a left onto 144th. Follow that through the 4 way stop until you hit the the end. You will make a left then drive about 1/2 a mile. You will see the public fishing access sign on the left pointing to turn right.
They have a boat access, but no public beach to fish offshore. There are no bathrooms available.
Fish species include trout, carp, & bass.

Decoursey Pond (2 acres)
This is a small pond located in Puyallup on 7th SW. It is stocked with rainbows and as a bonus gets occasional plants of coho in the fall. The pond is a juvenile only fishery. Nice park for the kids to play in and several fishing piers. Good handicap access.

The road leads SE from McKenna about five miles to the lake. This lake holds channel catfish, Largemouth bass, Black crappie,Pumpkinseed Sunfish,Yellow Perch, Brown Bullhead and trout. There is a state access boat launch. The speed limit on the lake is 5 MPH. The lake is up to 50 feet deep but gets shallow quickly and has lots of weeds. Be careful of submerged rocks near the boat launch. There also is a resort.

Kapowsin Lake (512 acres)
Elevation 600ft. Max Depth 58ft. Fish Species Present: Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, Rock Bass, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, Yellow Perch and Btown Bullhead.
This lake is located south of Puyallup on Hwy 161 to Benson, then east 3 1/2 miles on Kapowsin Hwy to WDFW public boat launch. The lake is up to 58 ft deep with plenty of good bass structure. Crappie are also a good bet at this lake. There are resorts on the north and west end of the lake. Salmon has been in this lake as it dumps into the Puyallup river. You can rent a boat and motor from Erickson's boat rental also. The boat ramp by Erickson's is made of wooden planks and is steep.

This lake is next door to Clear lake about 1 1/2 miles north of Eatonville off Hwy 161. It holdsLargemouth bass, Black crappie and perch. It also holds rainbows and cutthroat. There is a concrete public ramp and could handle boats to 20 foot easily. Lot's of parking.

Located about 4 miles northwest of Eatonville, Rapjohn has a state boat ramp and toilets on the west side. Open season runs from the last Saturday in April through October 31.

Silver Lake (138 acres)
Elevation 605ft. Max Depth 25ft.
This lake is next to Hwy 7 about five miles west of Eatonville. Holds rainbows, browns, Largemouth Bass, Black Crappie, Pumpkinseed, Yellow Perch, Brown Bullhead and Catfish. Silver Lake is a nice, small lake located just off of Mountain Highway. The lake includes populations of German brown trout, rainbow trout, largemouth bass, perch, and an overabundance of catfish. There is camping available on the lake, and one could pitch a tent, or stay at the Silver Lake Resort.
George Henley's family, sold the Resort. The new owners maintain a small store that has fishing gear, worms, pop, etc. Parking is plentiful at Silver Lake, and the people are always friendly. There is a huge dock that is used primarily by people that do not have a boat, or choose not to rent one from the resort. I believe there is a charge to fish off of the dock, but well worth it, as many limits have been caught this way. The boat launch is a very nice concrete launch that can accompany 2-3 boats at a time. There is a launch fee.
This year, Silver received a plant of almost 100,000 trout. When they aren't biting ferociously, mealworms are the way to go. Silver Lake exhibits a warm, friendly atmosphere, while offering excellent relaxation and fishing opportunities.

Spanaway Lake (262.4 acres)
Elevation 320ft. Max Depth 28ft.
Located 10 miles south of Tacoma and 1/2 mile west of Spanaway on Highway 7, a county park provides boat ramp and bank access on the northeast shore of Spanaway. This lake has rainbow, largemouth bass, Smallmout Bass, Rock Bass, yellow perch,Pumpkinseed Sunfish, bullheads and Black crappie. The lake holds tons of spiny rays, including bass to 10lb. and trout reported to 8lb.And usually get some plants of broodstck in the spring. It also held the record for a time on the largest brown bullhead. The lake is open to fishing all year.

Located approximately 5 miles north of Eatonville, Tanwax has a state boat ramp and toilets on the north shore. Two private resorts also provide boat rentals, dock and bank access. Rainbow trout, largemouth bass, Black crappie, yellow perch, catfish, Bluegill and pumpkinseed sunfish are caught during the year-around season. There is a slot limit on bass.

Tapps Lake (2,296 acres)
This reservoir 3 miles northeast of Sumner has a city boat launch on the northwest shore. A county park on the northeast shore also provides a boat ramp and bank access. The lake level is down in winter and early spring. Largemouth bass, yellow perch, and rainbow are found. Year-round season. According to the newspaper they are keeping the lake full this winter.

This small juveniles-only lake is located in Wapato Park in southeast Tacoma. Bank access is through the park, and young anglers can expect to catch rainbow trout, Pumpkinseed Sunfish and brown bullhead catfish. The lake is open to fishing year-around. There is a fishing dock also.

Waughop Lake (22 acres)
This small lake in Fort Steilacoom Park is planted annually with rainbow trout. A warmwater fishery for largemouth bass, crappie, perch and brown bullhead catfish adds to angling opportunity. Adult coho salmon may be added in October - November if excess hatchery returns are available. Landlocked salmon rules apply: a catch record card is not required, and all salmon count as part of the trout daily limit. Open season is year-round.
