Lakes in San Juan County
Cascade Lake (171 acres)
This lake is located in the heart of Moran State Park on Orcas Island.It holds cutthroat, rainbow and kokanee as well as perch. The lake has a rough boat launch on the north shore .Electric motors only, but the lake is small enough to row to any spot with ease. Rental boats and paddle boats are available and there is a beach area for the kids to play at. The campground is on the reservation system and in the summers it will be full so you must make reservations ahead of time. Open season runs from the last Saturday in April through October 31.

Egg Lake (7 acres)
Elevation 155ft. Max Depth 17ft.
This small year-round lake is located 900 feet west of Sportsman's Lake on the northeast end of San Juan Island. There is a public access on the west side. It holds largemouth bass and rainbow trout, with good rainbow fishing in April and May, and bass throughout the summer. The season is open year-around.

Hummel Lake (36 acres)
Elevation 97ft. Max Depth 12ft.
Located at the north end of Lopez Island, Hummel has a public access boat ramp with toilets at the north end of the lake. This lake holds rainbow trout, largemouth bass and bluegill. The season is open year-around.

Killebrew Lake (13.2 Acres)
Elevation 293ft. Fish Species Present: Largemouth Bass, Yellow Perch and nBluegill.

Mountain Lake (198 acres)
Mountain Lake located in Moran State Park. There is a campground located near the lake. The lake has a nice concrete boat launch. Electric motors only. Boat rentals available at the lake. Mountain has kokanee, Rainbow, with some cutthroat and eastern brook trout. Good for kokanee in late May, early June, and in the fall. If you decide to camp at Moran be sure to make reservations as in the summer there will be no space available on weekends. Year-around season.

Sportsman's Lake (65 acres)
Elevation 153ft. 10ft.
Located approximately 3 miles northwest of Friday Harbor on San Juan Island, this lake has a public access boat launch. Good fishing for largemouth bass during summer, with an occasional cutthroat. The season is open year-around.

Twin Lakes
Two small hike-in lakes that hold rainbow and cutthroat. 3500 feet north of Mountain Lake.
