MALFUNKSHUN remain a living legend in the northeast, staging spectacular performances in the Seattle vicinity over the years. Nothing less can be expected from the band that created a breed of ROCK and ROLL all its own...AKA "LOVEROCK"! It all began one Easter Sunday in 1981. Four or Five kids from Bainbridge Island decided to skip the family festivities so they could jam. That session of (?) was taped and called, for lack of better at the time, Report: MALFUNKSHUN! And thus came the name. However it wasn't until a year later that this band/idea formed true direction. The two brothers of the band and founders of MALFUNKSHUN, after a year with some sad songs, recruited a drummer whom at the time was a Maggot Brain (don't ask). Thus forming the power trio concept (333). And with the birth of "3 Power" in 82 came the lineup chosen to spread LoveRock to the universe. LANDREW (the love child) on bass, piano, acoustic guitar and vocals. Kevin (the axe handler) on, of course, guitars. And Regan "Thundarr" Hagar on drums and percussions. A solid force to be reckonded with even in 82. MALFUNKSHUN soon became almost a religion to the kids who wanted something sweeter, cooler to look at than simply Black leather and hate...These "Rock godz in the making were preeching love!! Cometh the Trinity of ROCK!!! So in the following LoveRock has become one with Mal-Funk-Shun and vica verca: Although cassettes have been released in small number to stores and through mail. There had been no widespread distribution of MALFUNKSHUN to the masses until early on in 86. Then came the release of "Deep Six", a compilation album featuring Seattles hottest underground bands on the C/Z record label. Reviews from most national publications were "simply marvelous darling" And MALFUNKSHUN'S "With yo' heart/NOT yo' Hands" was thumbs up with radio play nationwide from Vermont to Texas and in Seattle where the band occasionally does Radio interviews at KCMU the song still gets heavy airplay...And now as the "3" begin the sixth year of this campaign to rid the world of hate through a Rock and Roll show...They've decided it's about time to make a record of they're own. The question asked far too often has finally got an answer...As we speak the "3 power," ala MALFUNKSHUN is in the studio and ready for the world! Question is: is the world ready for
