THE SIMULATOR

MMThe base has a set of eight veritech simulator suites. Each one is a large bay with thousands of holographic projectors lining the walls and a veritech suspended in the middle of the bay. Two more bays contain a set of eight simulation pods per each bay, two for each destroid type mecha. The destroid ones do not require whole mecha because the cockpit is a contained environment with no windows or views of the outside aside from the main screen. This means that no advanced holographic systems are required for this set of simulators. The veritech simulator suites however are equipped with the latest developments from the Robotech Research Center in Japan.

MMEach of the suites have standard version veritechs without distinguishing features. Once the simulations start, appropriate features and head types are holographically created to fit the current pilot.

. The standard armament for veritechs in the simulator is a fully loaded GU-12 gun pod with an extra clip (requiring half the pilot's attacks that melee to reload) each carrying 20 bursts worth of ammo, and a set of 12 High Explosive (medium) short-range missiles. Pilots can request different type missiles, but the use of any long-range missiles will automatically make their sim game not count on the score board. Special weapons like nuclear missiles and CADS-1 systems will likewise not be scored on the official high scores list. Destroids are also loaded with High Explosive (medium) short-range missiles most typically.

. Two or more simulators can be linked together through their computers and engage in either a duel or team combat. Special high score lists are kept for each combination. Remember that the simulator is a test of ediquette and protocal just as much as real missions and patrols are, so respect the chain of command and orders from superiors. You must also learn to make good judgement in critical situations. If you fail, analyze your pattern on that run and see if there's something you could have done different.

. There are three simulator games available. The one used by instructors for stamina testing the Ladder Game; a level by level system where pilots attempt to gain the highest score by conquering as many levels as they can without waisting points on repairs and reloads. The second one, used to test cadet skills against fellow cadets is the Duel Game; the Ladder Game's alpha zone is reserved for this game where pilot vs. pilot and strategy and tactics are necessary to overpower your opponent. And the last type used by instructors because of its ability to test many of the cadet's skills is the Campaign Game; where pilots are dumped into a patrol in a random terrain and face unknown situations with various enemies.
