Jr. PSIA Prevention Team Builds Community Chain 2000

Represents a Drug Free Community

Have you signed the Community Chain yet? Look for it in your local schools and in your community. It will be on display during the Community Day activities at the high school.

In 1991 PSIA put together a community chain that ended up with 2,000 signatures and seven hundred feet long.

PSIA Offers Three Summer Fun Programs Throughout Southeast Pierce County

It is with great privilege that PSIA can offer the summer programs to the rural communities. We are very excited about our new program -- the "WEST" program. The "WEST" program will offer free transportation and lunch for youth that are living out of town and who attend Weyerhaeuser Elementary School.

Programs are made possible through several grants. Funds for the Weyerhaeuser program allocates the cost of free transportation and lunch. These funds do not depend on a percentage of free and reduced lunches served at school.

Eatonville Elementary did not qualify for funds towards the summer lunch program this year. The percentage of free and reduced lunches served at school were too low. Funds for this program did depend on those pecentages.

See PSIA staff or pick up a registration form at office.

PSIA Board of Directors Show Dedication and Commitment

Once a month under the direction of President Bob Schaub, the six member board of directors meet to make decisions concerning community youth.

PSIA is a proud organization and without the support of the six member board could not perform the youth and family activities that they do.

If you like "youth", PSIA offers you the opportunity to serve your community and youth at the same time through community service projects and youth activities.

The PSIA staff APPRECIATES YOU Virginia Woolf, Madora Dawkins, Robin Evans-Agnew, Pat Hamilton, Rev. George Lockwood, and, of course, our President, Bob Schaub for his dedication and time to the youth and to his community.

If you would like to serve as a Board Member and would like more information, please call us at (360) 832-8336.

PSIA Board takes time out from their regular meetings to meet with PSIA teens.
Here they discuss their ideas of a skate board park in Eatonville.
