How to Tattoo A Rabbit

For any show animal to be showed, They must be tattooed. The reason for tattooing is that it helps you to keep better records of your animals. A good time to tattoo is when the rabbit is 8 weeks old.
Here are some steps to follow:


1. Put the numbers and/or numbers in the tattoo pliers.

2. Tattoo a piece of cardboard or a piece of toilet paper to make sure that the tattoo says what you want it to.

3. Put the rabbit in a tattoo box or have someone hold the rabbit in a towel, SO the left ear is exposed.

4. Clean the rabbits ear with a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol on it.

5. Carefully tattoo the rabbit and avoid the blood vessels in the ear. Hold down the pliers 10 seconds to get a clean impression.

6. Rub tattoo ink into the puncture with an old, clean toothbrush.

7. Rub a small amount of Vaseline into the tattoo area, Then wipe the area dry.
