My solo acoustic or "unplugged" show includes my own songs as well as some of my favorite oldies by other artists. My technical requirements are as follows:
A professional quality sound system, with minimum four channel mixer, two stage monitors, and two main speakers.
Two vocal mics, and two boom stands.
Two direct inputs for acoustic guitar and keyboards.
One sound person to act as Ron's "ears in the audience", mixing the instruments and vocals.
If a sound system cannot be provided, please notify me in advance of the performance so I can bring my own sound equipment.
For a group show, I request:
A professional quality sound system, with minimum 8 channel mixer, 3 stage monitors, and two main speakers.
Three vocal mics, including one boom stand by the keyboards.
Two direct inputs for acoustic guitar and keyboards. We provide our own amps for the electric guitars and bass.
At least one sound person to help us with achieving the proper sound balance between the stage and the audience.
Information about stage access should be provided in advance of the gig. This includes loading to the stage, parking before, during, and after the performance. A map is helpful when available.
I will arrive at the site at least one hour before the performance. Setup time will be no less than one half hour, unless determined otherwise. When using my own sound system, I will need a full hour setup time.
Inclement weather - stage or performance area should be fully covered in event of rain or storm. This includes sides and back of stage, to prevent any damage to sound equipment.
We request a table to be provided near the stage for the display and selling of merchandise, including CD's, records and photos.
