The pattern for this fly came from the fine book by Barry M. Thornton, Saltwater Fly Fishing for Pacific Salmon. He notes that this fly was initially tied for the estuary but it can be effective cast in open water for Chinook and Coho. Variations are red, blue, or green feather for wing. |
