The pattern for this fly came from Ken Hanley’s fine book Fly Fishing the Pacific Inshore. Mr. Hanley writes in his notes that this fly, which can be used for Pacific Salmon, is a good imitation for various tidal shrimp. It works well in estuaries and harbors.
